Under Armour Appoints Dawn Fitzpatrick, Eugene Smith, and Robert Sweeney to Board of Directors

BALTIMORE, April 15, 2025 (V SHADES) — Apparel company Under Armour, Inc. has announced the appointment of Dawn N. Fitzpatrick, Eugene D. Smith, and Robert J. Sweeney to its Board of Directors, effective April 15.

Fitzpatrick is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Soros Fund Management, LLC. She previously held multiple leadership roles at UBS, including CEO and CIO of the UBS O'Connor hedge fund business. Fitzpatrick serves on several financial and economic advisory boards, including as Chair of the Financial Sector Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Smith served as Senior Vice President and Athletic Director at Ohio State University from 2005 to 2024. During his tenure, he held leadership roles across NCAA committees, including chairing the 2011 NCAA Men's Basketball Committee and participating in the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. He previously served as Director of Athletics at Arizona State, Iowa State, and Eastern Michigan.
Sweeney is the President of Sycamore Partners, a private equity firm focused on retail and consumer investments. Prior to joining Sycamore in 2019, he spent 22 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a partner and Global Head of the Consumer/Retail Investment Banking Group. He previously served as an officer in the U.S. Navy’s Submarine Force.
